ZDTips is an e-mail based, software product tip service offered by The Cobb Group, a division of technology media superpower Ziff Davis (publishers of Computer Shopper, MacUser, MacWEEK, PC Computing, PC Magazine, and Yahoo! The bad news is three-fold: 1) Even though ZDTips is e-mail based, the only way that I have found to subscribe to the free service is through ZDTips' Web page (I'll keep looking for another way, though); 2) The tips are pretty short (usually just a paragraph or two); and 3) You only get one tip a week (major bummer). Still, ZDTip's coverage of software products is pretty impressive.
