district court in Maryland decrees automatic stays for inadmissible illegal aliens seeking habeas corpus hearings; Who knew trial-level judges had such exceptional power? Likely not the people who wrote the USA Constitution
"...The district court's special order by its terms, however, is purely prospective; it doesn't apply to any party before the court, plaintiff or defendant, petitioner or respondent, but none the less grants at least short-term relief to the former class.
Again, I may be missing something, but this order appears to blow through the limits the Founders placed on the district courts, and the federal judiciary as a whole, in the case or controversy clause...
The [Baltimore] Sun quoted professor Carl Tobias, who teaches constitutional law at the University of Richmond and who told the paper that he was surprised the government hadn't «raised hell» about the district court's standing order temporarily barring removals. Let's just say Tobias isn't the only one who's surprised."

CDCP knew the mRNA shots were dangerous, but pushed them as "vaccines" against SARS-CoV-2, anyway
"...the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System. VAERS came out of the 1986 National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act, which gave pharmaceutical companies legal immunity for vaccine-related injuries. In exchange, the government created a «self-reporting» database where anyone could report adverse events. But good luck using it. The interface often crashed or timed out, forced users to re-start from scratch, and made tracking real harms nearly impossible...
CDCPquietly built a separate system -- V-safe -- to track mRNA shot outcomes. It compiled peer-to-peer data from over 10M [USA residents]. The CDCP buried those results until Del Bigtree and the Informed Consent Action Network forced the release through a law-suit... 8% of people who got the COVID jab suffered an adverse event requiring medical attention... CDCP's own data from the height of the pandemic showed that only 2% of COVID [Wuhan disease] cases required hospitalization. [4 times as much likelihood of harm as the disease.]...
By 2022 Spring, the final infection fatality rate was in. Just 0.5% for the elderly. For children and teens (ages 0-19)? A microscopic 0.003%..."
At the time, there were reports of medical personnel being fired for entering VAERS reports.

Andrew R. Arthur _Center for Immigration Studies_
a review of statistics on Obummer-BiteMe-Harass-Mayorkas-Garland regime's apparent unconstitutional/illegal "parole" of 2.863M+ illegal aliens
"...prior administrations had abused the parole power to permit entry to tens of thousands of facially inadmissible aliens over and above the limits congress had placed on lawful immigrant admissions.
And as Fishman and I made clear, those adjectives actually have meaning. «Urgent humanitarian reasons» equates to a need for the alien to seek emergency medical treatment, while «significant public benefit» means a request to present the alien in judicial proceedings in this country, sometimes as a witness but more often as a defendant.
But, as I have explained, when detailing the rushed drafting of regulations implementing the parole provision in the summer of 1982, those meanings were lost in implementation, with the administrative rules appearing to be more expansive in scope than the legislative grant of parole authority.
Worse, when Congress tightened the parole provision in 1996, the Clinton administration failed (or refused) to fix those regulations to reflect the more narrowly constrained legislative intent...
If prior administrations stretched Congress's parole limits, the last one [the Obummer-BiteMe-Harass-Mayorkas-Garland regime] simply blew past and ignored them.
It began by releasing illegal migrants apprehended by Border Patrol agents at the SouthWest border on parole -- again even though congress [the immigration laws] requires them to be detained...
...[The Obummer-BiteMe-Harass-Mayorkas-Garland regime] DHS...required government trial attorneys to dismiss, terminate, or close about 700K cases involving facially removable aliens... all remain subject to expedited removal...
[The 5th Circuit Court of Appeals recognized that] «parole creates something of legal fiction; although a paroled alien is physically allowed to enter the country, the legal status of the alien is the same as if he or she were still being held at the border waiting for his or her application for admission to be granted or denied.»..."
8 USC 1182: inadmissible aliens
(d)(5)(A) The Secretary of Homeland Security may, except as provided in subparagraph (B) or in section 1184(f) of this title, in his discretion parole into the United States temporarily under such conditions as he may prescribe only on a case-by-case basis for urgent humanitarian reasons or significant public benefit any alien applying for admission to the United States, but such parole of such alien shall not be regarded as an admission of the alien and when the purposes of such parole shall, in the opinion of the Secretary of Homeland Security, have been served the alien shall forthwith return or be returned to the custody from which he was paroled and thereafter his case shall continue to be dealt with in the same manner as that of any other applicant for admission to the United States.
(d)(5)(B) The Secretary of Homeland Security may not parole into the United States an alien who is a refugee unless the Secretary of Homeland Security determines that compelling reasons in the public interest with respect to that particular alien require that the alien be paroled into the United States rather than be admitted as a refugee under section 1157 of this title.
(d)(5)(C) The attorney general of a State, or other authorized State officer, alleging a violation of the limitation under subparagraph (A) that parole solely be granted on a case-by-case basis and solely for urgent humanitarian reasons or a significant public benefit, that harms such State or its residents shall have standing to bring an action against the Secretary of Homeland Security on behalf of such State or the residents of such State in an appropriate district court of the United States to obtain appropriate injunctive relief. The court shall advance on the docket and expedite the disposition of a civil action filed under this subparagraph to the greatest extent practicable. For purposes of this subparagraph, a State or its residents shall be considered to have been harmed if the State or its residents experience harm, including financial harm in excess of $100.
2023-12-15: Andrew R. Arthur: the slapdash, court-ordered 1982 regulation that drives the Obummer-BiteMe-Harass-Mayorkas-Garland regime's "parole" policies... and why that regulation has not been valid since 1997 April 1

"...The report found that the average graduation rate for the program is only 32%. After graduating from the program, participants only earned $16K annually, which is barely above the poverty line. More so, the program often suffers from safety issues, as there were 14,913 incident reports in 2023, even though there were only 25K participants. The program also costs the USA tax-victim $1.7G annually; the Job Corps Transparency Report has suggested the cost per student amounts to $80K, which is $20K more than Harvard University’s annual tuition. The average total cost per graduate is $187K, which exceeds the average cost of a four-year college at $153K... In program year 2024, the Job Corps program operated at a $140M deficit, which required centers to save $119M to reach the end of the program. The program is projected to hit a $213 deficit in program year 2025..."

2022-11-30: Harvard/Hebrew University of Jerusalem Communications: ancient DNA provides new insights into Ashkenazi (central & eastern European) Jewish history
* 2022-12-08: Cell: Shamam Waldman, Daniel Backenroth, Eadaoin Harney, Stefan Flohr, Nadia C. Neff, Gina M. Buckley, Hila Fridman, Ali Akbari, Nadin Rohland, Swapan Mallick, Inigo Olalde, Leo Cooper, Ariel Lomes, Joshua Lipson, Jorge CAno Nistal, Jin Yu, Nir Barzilai, Inga Peter, Gil Atzmon, Harry Ostrer, Todd Lencz, Yosef E. Maruvka, Maike Laemmerhirt, Alexander Beider, Leonard V. Rutgers, Virginie Renson, Keith M. Prufer, Stephan Schiffels, Harald Ringbauer, Karin Sczech, Shai Carmi & David Reich: genome-wide data from medieval German Jews buried at Erfurt between 1270 & 1400CE show that the Ashkenazi "founder event" preceded this time * These people really sifted the data through multiple statistical analyses.
"...medieval Ashkenzi Jews were genetically heterogeneous, likely 2 or more clusters... there are subtle average differences in ancestry between AJ with origins in Eastern vs. Western Europe... The medieval Erfurt Jewish [neighborhoods in several neighboring towns] existed between the late 11th century to 1454, with a short gap following a 1349 massacre... Erfurt Ashkenazi Jews (EAJ) are genetically similar to modern Ashkenazi Jews (MAJ)... AJ ancestral sources have links to populations living in Mediterranean Europe and the Middle East today...
Previous analyses of identical-by-descent (IBD) haplotypes (Carmi et al., 2014a; Granot-Hershkovitz et al., 2018; Palamara et al., 2012), mtDNA lineages (Behar et al., 2006), and pathogenic variants (Risch et al., 2003; Slatkin, 2004) suggested that AJ experienced a medieval founder event (a bottleneck). However, the details of the event are yet to be fully resolved. Here, we used 3 sources of information -- mtDNA lineages, runs of homozygosity, and MAJ-enriched variants -- to test whether the EAJ population was shaped by the same founder event...
Remarkably, among 31 unrelated EAJ, 11 (35%) carried the K1a1b1a lineage, which is nearly absent in individuals of non-Jewish ancestry (Behar et al., 2006). This is greater than the 20% frequency in MAJ (p = 0.04; two-tailed binomial test; Table S4). All 11 carriers had identical sequences except for a single C/T polymorphism at position 16223 (C count: 3/11; Data S1, section 9). A joint Bayesian analysis (Bouckaert et al., 2019) of MAJ and EAJ K1a1b1a carriers (accounting for the known date of the EAJ individuals; STAR Methods) suggested a median posterior time to the most recent common ancestor about 1500 years ago, slightly earlier than previous point estimates (Behar et al., 2006; Costa et al., 2013), but with very high uncertainty (95% highest posterior density interval: 650–6700; Data S1, section 9)..."

Monge, Yehuda Gavrin, Yigel Erel, Benjamin Yakir, Ron Pinhasi, Shai Carmi, Israel Finkelstein, Liran Carmel & David Reich: genomic history of Bronze Age Southern Levant; Levant-related modern populations typically have substantial ancestry coming from populations related to the Chalcolithic Zagros and the Bronze Age Southern Levant [between Beirut, Ashkelon/Asqalon, Jerusalem & Jericho]
"...genome-wide ancient DNA data for 71 Bronze Age and 2 Iron Age individuals, spanning roughly 1,500 years, from the Intermediate Bronze Age to the Early Iron Age. Combined with previously published data on the Bronze and Iron Ages in the Southern Levant, we assembled a dataset of 93 individuals from 9 sites across present-day Israel, Jordan, and Lebanon, all demonstrating Canaanite material culture. We show that the sampled individuals from the different sites are usually genetically similar, albeit with subtle but in some cases significant differences, especially in residents of the coastal regions of Sidon and Ashkelon. Almost all individuals can be modeled as a mixture of local earlier Neolithic populations and populations from the northeastern part of the Near East. However, the mixture proportions change over time, revealing the demographic dynamics of the Southern Levant during the Bronze Age. Finally, we show that the genomes of present-day groups geographically and historically linked to the Bronze Age Levant, including the great majority of present-day Jewish groups and Levantine Arabic-speaking groups, are consistent with having 50% or more of their ancestry from people related to groups who lived in the Bronze Age Levant and the Chalcolithic Zagros. These present-day groups also show ancestries that cannot be modeled by the available ancient DNA data, highlighting the importance of additional major genetic effects on the region since the Bronze Age...
all individuals but the outliers from Megiddo and the Ashkelon IA1 population have similar ancestry... with the exception of the outliers from Megiddo, Ashkelon IA1, and Sidon, all Bronze and Iron Age Levant groups are consistent with being pairwise clades with respect to the outgroups...
...our data are also compatible with a model in which Zagros-related ancestry in the Southern Levant arrived through the Caucasus, either directly or via intermediates... We observed that the oldest individuals in our collection, from the Intermediate Bronze Age, already carried significant Zagros-related ancestry, suggesting that gene flow into the region started before c.2400 BCE. This is consistent with the hypothesis that people of Kura-Araxes archaeological complex of the 3rd millennium BCE might have affected the Southern Levant not only culturally, but also through some degree of movement of people...
Altogether, our analyses show that gene flow into the Levant from people related to those in the Caucasus or Zagros was already occurring by the Intermediate Bronze Age, and that it lingered, episodically or continuously, at least in inland sites, during the Middle-to-Late Bronze Age...
The term «Canaanites» is loosely defined, referring to a collection of groups (which in the Bronze Age were organized in a city-state system) and thus in principle could lack genetic coherence. The individuals examined here cover a wide geographic span -- coming from 9 sites in present-day Lebanon, Israel, and Jordan. Our analyses revealed that, with the exception of Sidon (and to a smaller extent the individuals of the Baq'ah), they are homogeneous in the sense of being closer to each other than to other contemporary and neighboring populations. This suggests that the archaeological and historical category of «Canaanites» correlates with shared ancestry (Eisenmann et al., 2018).
This resembles the pattern observed in the Aegean basin during the 2nd millennium BCE, where the cultural categories of «Minoan» and «Mycenaean» show evidence of genetic homogeneity across multiple sites albeit with potentially subtle ancestry differences within these groupings (Lazaridis et al., 2017).
Another example is the «Yamnaya» pastoralists of late 3rd and early 2nd millennium BCE in the western Eurasian Steppe (Allentoft et al., 2015, Haak et al., 2015).
This contrasts with the pattern seen in other places, such as for the Bell Beaker cultural complex of the 2nd millennium BCE (Olalde et al., 2018), where people sharing similar cultural practices had widely varying ancestry. In any case, the detection of such associations -- as we do here -- cannot by itself prove that group «identities» in the past were related to genetics...
For example, one of the two Iron Age populations in the Philistine coastal city of Ashkelon (ASH_IA1) showed evidence of mobility of populations related to southern Europe around the Bronze Age to Iron Age transition (Feldman et al., 2019)...
We found that both Arabic-speaking and Jewish populations are compatible with having more than 50% Middle-Eastern-related ancestry. This does not mean that any these present-day groups bear direct ancestry from people who lived in the Middle-to-Late Bronze Age Levant or in Chalcolithic Zagros; rather, it indicates that they have ancestries from populations whose ancient proxy can be related to the Middle East. The Zagros- or Caucasian-related ancestry flow into the region apparently continued after the Bronze Age.
We also see an Eastern-African-related ancestry entering the region after the Bronze Age with an approximate south-to-north gradient. In addition, we observe a European-related ancestry with the opposite gradient (north-to-south).
Given the difficulties in separating the ancestry components arriving from the Southern Levant and the Zagros, an important direction for future work will be to reconstruct in high resolution the ancestry trajectories of each present-day group, and to understand how people from the Southern Levant Bronze Age mixed with other people in later periods in the context of processes known from the rich archaeological and historical records of the last three millennia."

"...Recent ancient DNA (aDNA) studies have reported a high degree of genetic continuity in the Levant during the late Pleistocene and early Holocene that was followed by increasing population admixtures with Anatolian- [& Caucasus & Zagreb] & Iranian-related populations at least up to the Middle Bronze Age..."

3K-year-old infant burials; late Bronze Age migration "...Archaeologists have known for a century that the distinctive ceramic pots and other artifacts that suddenly appeared in the 12th century B.C.E. Philistine cities resemble artifacts from the Mycenaean empire of Greece... Sea People... other scholars think Philistine culture spread when ancient empires in Turkey and Syria declined and local people filled the void.
Master invited Feldman's adviser, paleogeneticist Johannes Krause of the Max Planck Institute for the Science of Human History in Jena, Germany, to try to extract DNA from the teeth and inner ear bones of skeletons excavated in Ashkelon. The team analyzed 1.24M sites across the genomes of 10 skeletons. Three of the oldest individuals, who lived 3500 to 3700 years ago, were not distinguishable genetically from local Levantine people.
But DNA from four infants buried beneath the earthen floors of homes in Ashkelon 500 years later, when Philistine culture first appears, told a different story. They had inherited 25% to 70% of their DNA from southern European ancestors, and the closest matches were to ancient people from the Aegean, Sardinia, and Iberia..."

"...We estimate, using linkage-disequilibrium decay patterns, that admixture occurred 6,600–3,550 years ago, coinciding with recorded massive population movements in Mesopotamia during the mid-Holocene. We show that present-day Lebanese derive most of their ancestry from a Canaanite-related population, which therefore implies substantial genetic continuity in the Levant since at least the Bronze Age. In addition, we find Eurasian ancestry in the Lebanese not present in Bronze Age or earlier Levantines. We estimate that this Eurasian ancestry arrived in the Levant around 3,750–2,170 years ago during a period of successive conquests by distant populations... [autosomal DNA (aDNA)]..."
