* terminate/eliminate permission to work from exchange / student exchange / cultural exchange visa programs (you can put on plays, pageants, dance, music, local craftsmanship & industry demonstrations, but not settle in to jobs in hotels, resorts, USA industries, craftsmanship, agriculture, etc.)
* phase out unconstitutional Medicaid & Medicare over 3 years
* phase out the unconstitutional Socialist Insecurity Abomination over 5 years
* end government subsidies for hospitals (and the attached strings)
* end government subsidies for scientific research (except for defense which should cover defense against biological warfare & epidemics)
* repeal regressive income extortion (i.e. repeal 16th amendment; replace with national retail sales tax with hard-cap constitutional top rate of 9.875% structured as a levy on the states)
* revoke the charter of the CFPB and repeal the rest of Dodd-Frank
* revoke the charter of the Federal Reserve System and establish a stable, hard money
* repeal direct election of senators (repeal 17th amendment)
* repeal the unconstitutional Federal Firearms Act and its amendments
* de-fund and repeal the charters of CPB/NPR/PBS
* de-fund the national endowments for arts and humanities and AFI
* de-fund the racist eugenicist Planned Parenthood
* de-fund SBA
* de-fund Export-Import Bank, World Bank, IMF, Asian Development Bank, USAID

"The flourishing art in Florence, however, derived from an older Florentine emphasis on education that consisted not merely of learning the classics but also of mastering the basic skills needed by merchants ad bankers: numbers and mathematics. The Renaissance began not as a movemet in arts and letters but as a practical, mathematical revival to help bankers and merchants perform the increasingly difficult tasks of converting money, calculating interest, and determining profit and loss. In 1202, Leonardo Fibonacci, also called Leonardo Pisano after his home-town of Pisa, published _Liber Abaci_, in which he introduced to Europe what we now refer to as Arabic numerals, even though the Arabs had themselves borrowed the numerals from India. This simplified system offered a great advantage over the clumsy Roman numerals, which virtually defied multiplication and division. The introduction of Arabic numerals eliminated the need for an abacus, since merchants could calculate the new numbers more easily in their heads or on a slip of paper. The universities, the government, and religious authorities expressed grave suspicions of the new numbers, which came from infidels and which merchants and clerks used without the reliable abacus. There is a fallacy, held by some business-people, and congress-critters since the 1700s, that the large population of China means they are a great market for USA products. Further, that therefor, USA business-people and government must bend over backward to do whatever the Chinese governments have required to be allowed to trade with the subjects of China. It has never resulted in significant profit to the USA citizenry, but the business-people and government-people continue to think that if they make just a few more concessions, if they just ignore a few more abuses, it will generate great profit.

"French foundlings in the 18th century, removed from their nurses at the age of 7, went back to the institutions that had sent them out in the first place and, before being apprenticed, spent a few years learning reading, writing, arithmetic, and, above all, as the regulations stated, religion and 'the fear of God'. When I moved to rural New England in the 1970s, I bought a bunch of power tools. 40 years later, they still work. Albeit my old Skillsaw is down to about 60rpm... So I bought a good cordless drill a few years back. But its battery packs have quit taking a charge. I went to the hardware store to buy new batteries and found out they'd have to be special-ordered. If they still made those batteries anymore, which the hardware store clerk wasn't sure about. Then I found out I could buy a new drill, the same brand, with a pair of different 'improved' battery packs, for less than what the special-order batteries for my old ([otherwise] perfectly satisfactory) drill would cost. This is just wrong. Shortly afterward, my Shop-Vac died -- the $0.50 plastic on/off switch broke. And, you guessed it -- the price to get it ixed was more than the price of a new Shop-Vac.

"For the «un-skilled» progress is easy. Given common sense conditions, it's almost guaranteed. In the words of K. As Ericsson and co-authors explain: «You need a particular kind of practice -- deliberate practice -- to develop expertise. When most people practice, they focus on the things they already know how to do. Deliberate practice is different.
