Ervin & William S. Moorhead; Sec. 7(a) (1)], which says that it's 'unlawful for any federal, state or local government agency to deny to any individual any right, benefit, or privilege provided by law because of such individual's [failure or] refusal to disclose his [Socialist Insecurity account number (SIN)]'. On the surface, the privacy law sounds as though it covers Tankersley's situation. He wants the privilege of practicing law in Maryland, and the state is withholding his right to practice because of his refusal to disclose his [SIN]. But things are a bit more complicated, because two other federal laws, the Welfare Reform Act and the Tax Reform Act, both allow states to demand your [SIN] in particular situations. The USA Court of Appeals for the 4th Circuit first held that the welfare law didn't cover Tankersley's case. That law allows the government to require the [SIN] of 'any applicant for a professional license' [and states have been infringing the right to work by expanding the kinds and numbers of licensed professions]. The court said Tankersley wasn't an applicant because he already had a license to practice law [was 'grand-fathered in'] and was seeking only to renew the license... The whole point of the federal privacy law is to prevent states from making the [SIN] into a nationally mandated identification number of the kind that's common in Europe... The Privacy Act is supposed to block states from making the use of a [SIN] a requirement for all citizen-state interactions. Taxes are an exception, as they should [not] be. But if states can require you to give your [SIN] in other situations by asserting that they're going to check if you've paid your taxes, that could spell the end of the federal privacy law [which has already been riddled with loop-holes by legislators and corrupt judges]. A state could simply decide that it needs to check your taxes every time you ask for a benefit to which you're entitled..."

"In an recent open letter to the German ambassador in Lebanon, a Lebanese national residing next to the German embassy in Lebanon informed the ambassador about her intention to leave her apartment: 'Since your government decided to welcome Syrian migrants into your country and following your decision to allow these migrants to present their visa applications at the embassy premises which is in a residential area, my life became unbearable.' The Lebanese woman went on to say that, for over a year now and on a daily basis, her street (which used to be a safe haven), was now occupied by hundreds of Syrian refugees every day. These refugees camp there, eat (even grill outdoors at the risk of causing fires), use the street as an outdoor bathroom, many even sleep there to be the first in the embassy the next morning. Lebanese in this particular neighborhood can no longer park their cars or walk on the street; even fire trucks in the nearby firehouse cannot pass through. Residents complained on numerous occasions but the ambassador has chosen to turn a deaf ear despite the fact that the risk of violence was getting higher every day.' 'Are you ready to take full responsibility of the consequences of their [Syrian refugees'] presence...especially if a town council agent is aggressed?', the author of the letter asked.' She explained why she finally decided to write the ambassador: 'If I waited such a long time before writing this letter, it is because I was torn by the misery of these refugees who are looking for a future and a decent life. But today, it is me who is torn by this nightmare that has become my life. I want the peace I had before you decided to welcome these migrants. I want to be able to practice my painting job again, I want to be able to go for a walk and not have to bear all the leering that follow me as I pass by... Your government and chancellor [Angela Merkel] keep repeating that welcoming Syrian refugees is a humanitarian duty. At the expense of Lebanese civilians?... You could move to another place, or set up appointments to receive these refugees but you refuse to collaborate.' Let's examine some of the problem. A very large percentage of all incoming freshmen have no business being admitted to college. According to College Board's 2015 report, the average combined SAT score for white students was 1576 out of a possible 2400. Black student SAT scores, at 1277, were the lowest of the 7 reported racial groups. The College Board considers an SAT score of 1550 as the benchmark that indicates a readiness for college-level work. Only 32% of white students scored at or above proficient in math, and just 7% of black students did. 46% of white test takers scored proficient in reading, and 17% of blacks did. The ACT, another test used for admission to college, produced similar results. The Journal of Blacks in Higher Education reports, in an article titled 'A Major Crisis in College Readiness for Black Students', that 34% of whites who took the ACT were deemed college-ready in all 4 areas -- English, mathematics, reading and science. For blacks, it was only 6%..."

In contrast, war, unlike individual states, does not sleep. Russia has been massing troops on its border with Ukraine... Iran swapped American hostages for cash. An Iranian missile narrowly missed a USA aircraft carrier not long ago. Iranians hijacked an American boat and buzzed our warships in the Persian Gulf. There are frequent promises from Tehran to destroy either Israel, America or both. So much for the peace dividend of [Obummer's] 'Iran deal'. North Korea is more than just delusional. Recent nuclear tests and missile launches toward Japan suggest that North Korean strong-man Kim Jong-un actually believes that he could win a war..."

IOW, once a woman has obtained status as a refugee, her 'spouse' -- the young able-bodied male of major concern -- is entitled as a matter of law to follow to join her in the USA..."

"When it was discovered in Israel in 1970, the En-Gedi scroll was clearly in no shape to be read: It had been found in the Holy Ark of a Jewish community dating to around 700BCE and had burned along with the rest of the settlement c. 600CE... The first bits of analysis, published Wednesday in Science Advances, reveal that the 1,650-year-old [100CE-500CE but most likely 300CE-400CE] En-Gedi scroll contains the book of Leviticus written in Hebrew. That makes it the oldest Pentateuchal scroll ever found in Hebrew outside of the Dead Sea Scrolls... University of Kentucky scientists led by William Brent Seales started with a simple digital scan of the charred object... The software is designed to first detect the individual pages based on their expected geometry, then 'texture' it, or look for changes in brightness on the surfaces identified as pages. Dense areas -- ones covered in ink, for example -- appear brighter on the scan. Then the software flattens the rolled-up text, showing the words as they would appear on a two-dimensional surface... there was enough text for Hebrew University's Michael Segal to identify multiple verses from the book of Leviticus... Aside from the Dead Sea Scrolls, which contain hundreds of religious texts and date to [between 400BCE & 200CE], the En-Gedi text is the oldest Hebrew biblical tome ever found... Earlier this month, scientists at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology announced a new imaging method that allows them to virtually pierce the first few pages of delicate books and analyze their text..."
