"If you only knew about the recent attempted coup in Turkey from the reports of the establishment media you might not understand that the coup was intended to overthrow president Recep Tayyip Erdoğan whose dictatorial regime is sympathetic to, if not yet completely controlled by, Muslim Brotherhood Islamists. No one who is a regular CHQ reader will need to be reminded that [Obummer] and various establishment Republicans, such as senators John McCain and [Lindsey Grahamnesty], supported the Muslim Brotherhood regime against the secular coup in Egypt. So it will surprise no one who is a regular CHQ reader to learn that [Obummer] supported the Islamist incumbent regime against the anti-Islamist or secular coup plotters in Turkey -- and that in Turkey the coup quickly collapsed... As a member of NATO Turkey is under the USA nuclear umbrella, but those old Cold War motivations and calculations are now obsolete. With Iran well on the way to a nuclear weapon and regional hegemony, to say nothing of its claim to leadership of the Islamic world, taking the role of regional and Muslim counterweight to Iran may be Erdoğan's goal, and what better way to confirm that claim than securing 50 to 90 nuclear weapons?** President [Obummer] is closing in on a Jimmy Carter moment when Erdoğan will demand Guelen's extradition and the price of refusal may very well be the security of Incirlik Air Force Base and its nuclear arsenal. If Gulen's extradition is the end game of the protests at Incirlik does anyone think [Obummer] is up to the job? * Fethullah Guelen is by no means a 'good guy' by our definition. "Stimulated by the remarkable level of ethnic discrimination in the hiring practices of the big Indian out-sourcing firms [cross-border bodyshopping and off-shoring firms] -- they hire up to 99% of their H-1Bs workers from the Republic of India -- I decided to take a look at other streams of migration from what the Brits call the sub-continent. The major out-sourcing companies [cross-border bodyshopping and off-shoring firms], such as Infosys and Tata, which rarely employ Americans, hire about 99% of their H-1B workers from India; if they pick up any from the other parts of Colonial India, it must be in minuscule numbers. Their decision that the best and the brightest in the world are virtually all young male college graduates between the ages of 22 and 30, and all from a single nation, should secure more negative press attention than it gets. Back to the sub-continent: it covers all the nations that used to be part of the Raj, of British India; this includes India per se as well as five nations that have, over the years, spun off from Colonial India. In the order of size of population they are: Pakistan, Bangladesh, Burma (also known as Myanmar), Sri Lanka (formerly Ceylon), and the Maldive Islands in the Indian Ocean. What does migration to the USA -- other than that of the H-1Bs -- look like from what used to be British India? The first comparison made was to the distribution of foreign students in the USA from that part of the world (as seen in Table One). New India, with a shade more than 75% of the population of old British India, sends 90% of the foreign students from the sub-continent to USA colleges and universities. This suggests two things to me: India is wealthier than its immediate neighbors, and there may be a stronger attraction to the USA among students there than in the five other nations..."

"The USA government, which portrays itself as the defender of the little guy, has just reached out to another elite group (within an admittedly severely disadvantaged population). This time it is to give Temporary Protected Status to a very lucky bunch of Syrians -- people who had arrived in the USA on Monday, or earlier, either legally or illegally. The Department of Homeland Security announced in the Federal Register that anyone from Syria who was already present in the USA on Monday, or who could scramble in from Canada or Mexico before midnight that night, would be eligible for its new (and third) round of TPS for one-time residents of Syria. It simultaneously announced that the earlier period of TPS for Syrians was renewed -- surprise! -- for another 18 months for the earlier beneficiaries. TPS grants 'temporary' legal status for this time period, which is rolled over again and again, during which time an otherwise illegal alien from the nation in question will not be deported, and will be allowed to work legally, provided they register and pay the fees. It should be pretty clear to observers that it is only the luckiest, best-connected, and wealthiest of the Syrian refugees who can manage to get all the way from that benighted country to this one...."

"You notice that people from India are poking around your work place -- and their numbers are growing. It is time to smell the coffee and realize that you are your coworkers are about to be replaced by foreign workers on H1B visas. You're going to get the 'H-1Boot'. What should you do now? Get 'Organized'. Exchange contact information with your co-workers. Exchanges names, home phone numbers, home [e-mail addresses, URLs], and addresses of everyone likely to be affected. Do this while you are all together. Once you get fired, this information is hard to gather. Get a Lawyer [or Become a Lawyer]. The better organized you are, the better the case you can build. The better the case, the easier it is to find a lawyer. If there are 200 of you potentially willing to be plaintiffs, the potential legal fees are 100 times greater than if there are just two of you for essentially the same amount of work. Do not sign anything without having a lawyer review it. [Do NOT trust union bosses. They are in it for their own advantage. And the vast majority of the union bosses are leftists who have signed on to the push for lower standards or no standards and far higher numbers of visas of every kind. You will get no honest effort and little sympathy from union bosses.] Gather Intelligence. Create [or obtain] an organization chart for the company. You don't need to cover the entire company but be sure it includes the managers of affected groups and everyone up to the CEO and any HR people involved. Try to find out where they live (nothing will make your CIO the hit of his neighborhood like having 300 people protesting on his street). For each foreign worker that shows up, document the date of arrival and try to identify the worker's name, employer, nationality, and visa type (e.g., B, L, H-1B). Save all memos related to the foreign workers. Look for any Labor Condition Applications for H-1B workers and make copies. These should be displayed in a public place in the office. When managers make verbal statements, write down what you heard, what you were supposed to do, and what your reaction to the statements was. Include the date. You want to have as much information as possible about context to help make the statements admissible as evidence. If it is legal in your state, record the conversations. Recording the reaction to what your employer said is just as important is recording what was said..."
