"Donald Trump's speech yesterday on the threat of radical Islam included a section about immigration policy that has the usual suspects in a tizzy. This section focused not on terrorism, but rather on what Andy McCarthy calls the 'grand jihad', the importation of Islamist ideology that rejects our constitutional order and open society. In his trade-mark manner, Trump departed from the prepared text to Archie Bunker-ize the speech by calling this 'extreme vetting', which is not the phraseology you should use once you've won the nomination and are trying to persuade the middle-of-the-road voter in Ohio and Florida. But rather than calling for body-cavity searches, as this label might suggest, he was instead calling for ideological/values screening, with the common-sense goal that 'we should only admit into this country those who share our values and respect our people'. He explained: 'In addition to screening out all members or sympathizers of terrorist groups, we must also screen out any who have hostile attitudes towards our country or its principles -- or who believe that Sharia law should supplant American law. Those who do not believe in our Constitution, or who support bigotry and hatred, will not be admitted for immigration into the country.' It takes an Ivy League education to object to using our borders to keep out Jew-haters, gay-killers, [USA-constitution haters and under-miners, initiators of force and fraud], and apostate-stoners... if a tourist from Saudi Arabia or business traveler from Pakistan think it's good to behead blasphemers [it matters because he could be on tour to plan targets, to raise funds for initiation of terrorist force, and, more common -- far too common -- may not actually plan to leave by the time our far too generous and un-enforced visitor visas expire]... people being granted permanent residence -- or even long-term 'temporary' status, such as foreign students or H-1B workers -- are joining our society, and we have a responsibility to keep them out if they reject our basic values... it's about screening for the preconditions of a liberal society -- freedom of religion, freedom of speech, equality of [humankind]. How to do this? Maybe, [in addition to] quizzing applicants, the easiest [and least effective, and un-enforceable] way would be to prepare a bare-bones statement of values and have people sign it as a pre-condition of getting their visa... We shouldn't be letting enemies of liberty come to live among us just because stopping them might anger a primitive on the other side of the world... 'Tell us, Mrs. Clinton, do you think people from over-seas who cheer the killing of gays should be welcomed into American society? Should foreigners who applaud the beheading of blasphemers -- even if they'd prefer to leave the actual beheading to someone else -- be allowed to move into our communities?'... 'We admit about 100K permanent immigrants from the Middle East every year. Beyond that, we admit hundreds of thousands of temporary workers and visitors from the same regions -- hundreds of thousands. If we don't control the numbers, we can't perform adequate screening.' What was done to Bernie Sanders in Wisconsin is stunning. Why would the Clintons not cheat again? The issue here is both voter fraud, which is limited but does happen, and election theft through the manipulation of the computerized voting machines, particularly the Diebold/PES voting machines in wide usage in most states. Politico profiled a Princeton professor -- who has demonstrated how the electronic voting machines that are most widely used can be hacked in 5 minutes or less! Robert Fitrakis professor of Political Science in the Social and Behavioral Sciences Department at Columbus State Community College has written a must-read book on the strip and flip technique used to rig these machines. Professor Fitrakis is a Green Party activist. A computer hacker showed CBS how to vote multiple times using a simple $15.00 electronic device. When Ronald Reagan was running for president every time I saw him, and I saw him quite a bit, he was surrounded by people I knew from conservative politics: senator Paul Laxalt, Jeff Bell, Lyn Nofziger, Marty Anderson, Dick Allen, Judge Clark, Ed Meese, etc. This gave me confidence that when Reagan was elected he would look to the conservatives with whom he had surrounded himself to staff his White House, and the cabinet and sub-cabinet appointments in his administration. He's readily admitted that, as part of his business strategy, he's supported both political parties and their candidates -- he even donated to Hillary Clinton in one of her past campaigns. However, since he began to the think about running for President, and once he announced, he has walked mostly with people from the right-of-center, from senator Jeff Sessions, to Jerry Falwell ii, to [classical liberal] icon Phyllis Schlafly, to his national co-chairman Sam Clovis and economic advisors Steve Moore and Larry Kudlow, Trump's major supporters and many of his inner circle have been from the conservative movement. Now, the hiring of Kellyanne Conway as campaign manager and Steve Bannon as chief executive of the campaign brought two more movement conservatives into the leadership of Trump's campaign. Donald Trump's recent economic speech, his national security speech and his law and order speech in Wisconsin were full of sound conservative policy prescriptions and were reflective of a strong [classical liberal] governing philosophy... the Trump campaign is shaping up to be the most ideological campaign since Ronald Reagan's 1980 campaign..."
